D is for Dismantled.
Most people will have experienced this... Run out of printer consumables and find out that a new printer full of ink is cheaper than replacement toner, ink and cartridges.
Sheer frustration at our current culture of unrepairable and short-lived consumer electronics, led to the full dismantling of this (shall remain nameless) printer; to find out just what is thrown away.
Stunned and saddened at the sheer volume of parts and detail, I was moved to create a pattern repeat that outlines each and every one of the hundreds of parts.
